Diane was crowned Miss Montserrat Festival Queen in 1980. She wants to thank all those who helped her through this wonderful journey mostly the gifted/talented Jewelyn Roberts, Alric ‘Jim’ Taylor, and Barrister at Law Kenneth Allen, just to mention a few. Diane noted that Jewelyn was a very strong support and the best chaperone anyone could ask for. Jewelyn was not only her chaperone, but her dress maker, and hair stylist. You name it and Jewelyn Roberts took care of it for her. At the time Diane entered the Miss Montserrat Queen Show she was only sixteen, a recent graduate of high school. Diane credits Jewelyn for guiding her through the whole process. Diane is also full of praise for the costume that was designed and made by Mr. Alric Jim Taylor. Additionally, she is thankful for the assistance given to her by Lawyer Kenneth Allen with her talent (Dramatization of a Lawyer); which she knew ‘nailed it’ for her in the Miss Montserrat Festival Queen Show.
